There are 3 additional pieces in her gallery also. If it was'nt for a little bit of common sense I would head over to the Mellwood Studio and hold up for the weekend ;) Just seeing this piece and thinking about the process and the texture gives me butterflies.
Ooooh...they've changed their website and it's lookin good! Once upon a time I was contemplating taking their online City & Guilds course but now I just want to go play in their studio with them, so holla when you go cause I'm coming with. But(sigh)...I'll have to be satisfied with getting Issue 4 of their thr3fold journal. Love those things!

You can get thr3fold through Running with Scissors, who is in Canada. Have you subscribed to Design Matters TV? There are taster episodes on the website and I have found them to be interesting, varied, and well done. I was especially impressed with how often a new episode is on - well worth the money. (Sales pitch is over!) Wouldn't it be fun to spend a bit of time with them!!! I spotted a few crocus leaves poking up through the ground. Yipee! I am so over winter. Have a creative weekend!

hehehe, i thought about the C&G courses too...but after i did the monetary exchange of pounds to dollars it stopped me in my tracks...i even looked into the art program at UofL as they have a 1 person staffed "fiber program" but then i keep coming back to just wanting to have fun and would rather invest in "raw" materials like fabric, threads, etc.
keep on keeping on.
peace,
